Kiki update...
hui, now we nearly forgot to tell you what happened to kiki...thanx for your emails and messages asking about her...it seems like quite a few of you have been following the blog with some excitement, ey? Thanx for that again!
Sooo, back to Kiki: after nearly 2 weeks of staying with us; travelling one day
of 40km as well; coming to restaurants; flirting with the gendarmeria in
barreal; being attended by a cat-sitter for one afternoon (some female officer
in the gendarmeria; quote of that woman when spotting little Kiki:
OOooooooohhh, she´s sooooo cuuuuuuuuuuuuuuute!!! Can i keep her?); doing
morning gymnastics in our room, preferably in our faces or trying to nibble on
our toes (not exactly our favourite habit of hers); being spoilt rotten, so
much so that in the end instead of eating dry bread as street cats usually do
she would meow for the Hawaiian pizza in OUR favourite restaurant preferably...
This cat was such an incredible character and such a cute thing that each one
of us at one stage thought of taking her on our separate trips...but then again imagining having a cat with you all the time either on the horse or while hitch-hiking didn´t really appeal too much to any of us.
But surely we wanted to find a good home for her and again were lucky enough to have met Carlos, a guy in Barreal who had helped us quite a bit during our stay. Him and his family already have a small cat like Kiki and were willing to take her straight away. So, little Kiki, who has already had an exciting life for her tender age, has now settled down in Barreal for good...
