Bueno guys, i´m sorry if this text is gonna be a bit shorter than the previous ones. Caro and me have just spent the last 4 hours trying to upload pictures, I wrote a 3-page text for the blog, saved it on the pc and then it crashed. I nearly cried to be honest, cos we´ve been on the road for 10 days now, have a lot of stories to tell and within a few seconds all the text is gone.

but anyway, here comes a quick summary:

our departure from finca vinaco was delayed by a few days cos artillera was hurt while  getting new ´shoes´. so finally we spent 4 days with the carcales family, pitched our tents in the barn and had an amazing time, being invited for numerous meals, inlcuding a mini-fiesta organised for us and went for small cabalgatas during the day. on sunday then it was finally time to leave and what a good bye it was: the whole family gathered together, a bottle of local cider was opened and we were sent on our way with lots of best wishes and good lucks. even tears flowed and all that after just 4 days! 3 of the gauchos from finca vinaco joined us for the first few hours and just 40m after leaving the house the first mishap occurred: the 10-l-water container which we had so cautiously tied to the pack mule tumbled down and people were in tears. ;o) tourist gauchos! ;o)

the 3 gauchos followed us to chicoana, there we had a bottle of beer, some empanadas and the 2nd goodbye of the day followed...and los siete were on their own...

Ein bisserl habe ich verstanden: die Pferde sind euch weggerannt... halb Argentinien verfolgt euer Abenteuer... Ist nicht schon ein Kamerateam euch auf den Fersen? Nachträglich alles Gute für Dich zum Geburtstag, den Du so "außerordentlich" feiern konntest! Bleibt alle immer fest im Sattel und mögen die Pferdchen euch heil über alle Berge tragen!
